Four Seasons

Large Daffodil designed & glazed by:

Mary Chapplehow

Mary has a workshop and gallery at Brougham Hall, near Penrith. She makes, sells and teaches pottery from this historic location. She made her first pot at school and hasn’t looked back, establishing her business in 1995.

Her work is inspired by the ever changing seasons of the Lake District and the way the weather has shaped and sculpted the landscape. She likes to make useful pots, items that can be used in the home on a daily basis.

Mary has glazed her daffodil in all the colours of the Lake District seasons, winter white, spring green, summer blue and autumn.

Funds raised by the sale of Mary’s daffodil will go to the charity Hospice at Home. They were a great help and comfort to her when her father was very ill with cancer. Providing care with dignity at the end of life.
