bid on one of our ten supersize daffodils

Ten Thousand Daffodils has culminated in the much anticipated display of individually handmade flowers fluttering and dancing in the gardens of Lowther Castle. Dotted amongst these iridescent flowers are ten magnificent blooms created by Helen, our tireless potter. Each large bloom has been individually designed by creative individuals who have brought their artistic inspiration to a project which we hope has brought joy and hope to all who have seen and those who will benefit from the generosity from every individual who makes a charitable donation by buying a daffodil.

The large daffodils will be auctioned online 17th - 24th june. read on to find out all about the large daff designs!

competition winners

Alongside our eight notable daffodil designers we have two winning designs derived from a nationwide young persons’ competition. Design a Daffodil Competition encouraged the use of nature as the source of inspiration for the glazing design and one that reflects student’s’ personal responses to the natural world or highlights some of the most pressing environmental issues. Matilda and Nia are deserving winners of a competition that highlighted that the future of our planet is an important issue to our children.

The daffodil heads, measuring an impressive 68cm wide by 42cm high, have been painstakingly decorated by Helen and her team to masterfully replicate the designs.

The money raised at this live online auction will go to their chosen charities. Bid early, bid often!
